Exchange Programs
Youth Exchange and Study Program (YES)
AMIDEAST is one of seven organizations that have joined
together to administer the Youth Exchange and Study
(YES) Program. This U.S. Department of State-funded
scholarship program provides secondary school students in
selected Middle Eastern, African, and Asian countries the
opportunity to live and study in the United States for a
full academic year.
Scholarship recipients live with host families, attend
U.S. high schools, and may participate in special enrichment
activities that include community service, youth leadership
training, a civics education program, and other activities
that help them develop a comprehensive understanding of
American culture and develop leadership skills. Likewise,
these students serve as cultural ambassadors for their home
countries, representing their own rich heritage to their

Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program
Tomorrow’s Leaders Scholarship Program is a new MEPI initiative
for capable and highly motivated Qatari high school seniors
to receive four-year university scholarships and internship
opportunities at either the American University in Cairo,
the American University of Beirut, or the Lebanese American
University. Scholarship recipients should be prepared to
begin the program in the Fall 2008 term.
Scholarship recipients may pursue an undergraduate degree
in the field of their choice, though special consideration
can be given to candidates who have expressed an interest
in the areas of legal studies, economics, education, journalism,
history, and/or political science. For more information

If you are a student, professional, or institutional representative
in need of testing services, AMIDEAST can help you. AMIDEAST
serves as a representative of the Educational
Testing Service (ETS) in Qatar, and administers tests
on behalf of other organizations as well.
